powerful

Pharaoh
ruled

Jewish

fight

him
Pharaoh

slaves.
As
slaves
worked
very
hard.
Every
day
from
morning
until
night
they
hammered
dug
carried
heavy
bricks.
They
built
palaces
cities
without
rest.

being
cried
asked
God
for
help.

a
man
named
Moses
to
lead
people.

said
“God
is
not
happy
with
way
you
treat
He
wants
let
leave
Egypt

into
desert
where
will
be
free.”
But
stamped

plague!”

sooner

shout:

mind.
Jews
stay!”

sent
more
plagues.
Finally
as
tenth
arrived
ordered
Fearful
might
again
change
mind
packed
quickly.
