In twilight halls I wander wide a spectral form with heart full of pride Searching high searching low roam For one whose love my spirit calls home. My footsteps echo through empty space As seek her longing face But find no solace gentle smile No whispered promise that stays Awhile. Oh cruel fate why must stray Unaware what has come to pass the day She left me or so I've been told still search love grown old. The moon above casts shadows pale Illuminating paths where we once set sail Together hand in hand life's dark night Now tread alone without her guiding light. Memories laughter whispers and tears Echoes our past all these years Haunt me still as pace sigh Yearning see before say goodbye. Her touch flame warmed soul Leaves only embers now turned cold. Yet dreams behold eyes Bright stars shining bright midnight sky. Alas if you could hear call I'd whisper secrets an eternal fall Into darkness resides With every step further from your side. Still hold on hope's thin thread That someday soon we'll meet again ahead Though death may part us won't break its depths will forever make. So let this endless Till peace glimmer light To guide through final shore Where awaits I'll more. And when at last join there Free mortal coil earthly care Our spirits merged like rivers flow great sea eternity below
